BRC certification helps you be a leader in the food industry:
BRC certification itself originated in the UK but for the past few years it has been a global food safety standard primarily for the companies that were auditing their supply chain and the intent was to have a singular audit that would be accepted by all of the retailers within the UK. Typically in the industry we hear that our customers are looking for GFSI certification.
In accordance with the BRC certification there are four things that you must consider:
Producing food products of consistent quality and in accordance with the safety requirements
Does your quality risk and compliance management system QTMS digitally automate operations of quality management? Companies who use quality risk and compliance management systems can be verified to obtain BRC IOP certification recognized by the global food safety initiative. This global standard for packing and packaging products is the outcome of the partnership between BRC global standards and the packaging society.

Reach out to the customers globally
This certification was designed for manufacturers of food related packaging, food cosmetics and other consumer goods that come in contact with foods such as utensils or adhesives around the globe. For any company dealing with these products and wants to ensure the comprehension to the global food industry, this certification is there to establish proper practice. It is a modular product as each module of this certification can be purchased independently for the respective features and purposes. The modular traits of the regulation allow the flexibility to scale up and scale down.

Standard Directory helps you in getting valuable feedback across the globe
BRC certification confirms that you are on the right track and that you have everything sorted out for your BRC system but it might just trigger something that you think is worth investigating further.

Reviewing your supplier’s performance becomes a lot easier
Enforcement of BRC standards has put immense pressure of increased standards on manufacturers in the food industry to first understand their supply chain better. Any potential food assessment failures may result in overall damage of the image of the company. Therefore when you understand your supply chain you can easily identify the potential risks that may lead to food quality and safety failures.
The BRC has developed a set of global standards which are used worldwide by retailers and manufacturers to approve their suppliers. These standards are international product safety and quality certification programs used by over 23000 certified suppliers in 123 countries. Certifications are issued through a worldwide network of accredited certification bodies. BRC is one of the global food safety initiative (GFSI’s) recognized food safety schemes that follows the GFSI’s mission to provide continuous improvement in food safety management systems to ensure confidence in delivery of safe food to consumers worldwide. BRC has developed four related standards namely, for food safety, for distribution, for packaging and packaging materials and for consumer products. This standard was one of the first standards recognized by the GFSI and was created with the objective of defining the safety, quality and operational criteria required for food manufacturers to comply with regulations and to protect consumers. The BRC global standard for food safety is designed to allow an assessment of a company’s premises operational systems and procedures by a competent third party. Issue 7 is the latest version of the standard that is flexible.
